Poet Eric Tretheway was a Professor of English at Hollins University from 1984 until his death in 2014. Writes the AWP, “In addition to his writing career, Trethewey was the lead singer of a band, a songwriter, guitarist, reporter, longshoreman, and Louisiana Golden Gloves boxer, all of which entered and inspired his work.” Readings from March 22, 2004 and October 21, 2004.
